As usual, I am in bed recapturing another bad encounter with my boy just now. On this July 2011, he is just two months into 14 and I wonder if teenage at this age tends to get difficult. I notice the change in him lately. He starts to argue and talk back. He starts to show signs of disobedience and rebellious.
He has always been a good and obedient boy of mine. Sadly to say, he is changing and getting difficult these days. Just now back in the car, I told him that I saw his new black shoes that TH bought for his concert, lying on the floor at the corner in front for about a month already and it is still there. He responded that I didnt ask him to put back, so he didnt do it. So I told him I was waiting to see when he will notice that shoe and put it back properly into the shoe rack. Then I told him if everyone in the house are to leave their shoes lying on the floor, would it not be a mess. I thought he will understand this simple logic but he argued that he needs to use them for school concert and that he will put it back until concert ends. Damn! I felt so pathetic.
Why wait, why cant he just obey and put his shoes back properly into the shoe rack. If his explanation makes sense, he should also just leave his school shoes lying on the floor permanently which he also has to use every day. And so do JW and TH and it ends up that all of our shoes should be lying around on the floor. Why must he argues and get difficult. I am damn sure the shoes will stay on the flooreven after concert ends if I didnt voice out today.
Why cant he just acknowledge his overlook, put them back and that's it. No argument, no punishment, everyone happy.
Since he asked me to wait till concert ends, I decided to confiscate his laptop and he should also wait until concert ends before I give him back. When we reached home, he quietly put his shoes back into the shoe rack but too bad, punishment stays.
I hope he starts to have better control of his attitude. Dont think I can sleep well tonite, very worried and sad, what is becoming of my boy:(
Hmm, TH went outstation to Sekinchan today on business and just now he seemed to have a great deal to tell me about his day but guess he knew I wasnt really listening as I am penning this. Poor thing, now he's quiet and asleep.
