JW reminds me of mom

I am missing mom dearly today, all because of my gal.

Just an hour ago, JW told me and TH that she read a book that mentions some facts about our finger nail and with excitement, she explained the details to us. According to her, the bigger white patch visible at the bottom of our finger nail means the nail will likely to grow faster. She inspected our finger nails ardently and further explained that the middle finger nail grows the fastest while the thumb nail grows the slowest.

Hmm, interesting! The fact that her explanation to us once in a while reminds me very much of mom. Those days, mom used to read Chinese newspapers and enjoyed telling me facts , just like what my gal did today, though at that time, I was not an avid listener but it has been a norm. It is so similar that I suddenly felt her presence, felt her love too. I miss her very much. I pray that she is fine and happy in her world .

Back to my gal, besides story books, I notice that she has a passion for books concerning facts and fiction. Every now and then, she will come up to us and start telling interesting facts she comes across. At one time, it was so funny. She read about human stool and next, she started to ask each of us in the family about the condition of our stool i.e. what color, what texture, what size, etc. It was so embarrasing. Then she excitedly analysed and explained what our stool indicate, healthy, unhealthy, heaty, etc. hehehe!

Hope she continues with her passion and keep updating the family with facts and knowledge. Yesterday, I flipped the pages of her exercise book on her table and was surprised to her handwriting. She improved tremendously, it is so good, tidy and neat. Guess now she writes better than me and JS. Three of us have good handwriting, I must say. It's our traits:)
