A Conversation with my 10-year old Girl

22.7.11 - just now while I was at the backyard hanging clothes, my gal came over and had a casual talk. She was in good spirit. She said she forgot to tell me that few of her classmates actually want to come to her birthday party tomorrow but she told them that mom only allows 3 friends. Then she waited for my response. Told her it is alright to be honest and indeed I dont think I can handle a big party. She nodded as if she understood me. Then she continued and said that one of her classmates gave her a birthday card but gave another friend a birthday card and a present. Told her that probably they could be close friends like her and Pei En. She sighed and said she doesnt know. Then she said that she didnt give PE a present this year. Told her that we bought a nice notebook for her this year. She kept quiet for a while before she continued, she said PE doesnt dare to eat kentucky anymore due to the video posted on You Tube but she managed to convince her that it is alright to eat once in a while. Well, I will be getting kentucky fried chicken for her birthday tomorrow. Then she said it is too bad that Magdeline cannot make it tomorrow because kentucky is her favourite food. Then we switched topic, told her I am a impatient mom and can be easily frustrated. She said so does she. We just smiled at each other and walked back into the house. Sweet:)
