12.12.11 - Believe it or not, I am actually at the Burj Al Arab building on the 27th floor in the Sky Bar having my most expensive afternoon tea @ RM426 per person. It is a birthday treat for my dear TH. Well, this is the cheapest way to get into this 7 star hotel as non guest are not allowed in. It's 5:45pm now and it's getting dark outside. I am enjoying the beautiful view in front of me, watching the sky turns dark and little lights turning on in the city. I feel on top of the world, to have this great opportunity to be here, to join the elites for an hour or two.
Though the afternoon tea is not up to our taste as the delicacies are just too sweet, however the experience makes up. TH gets a little birthday cake on the house but his best gift is able to see so many fine cars all on the road throughout our entire trip.
Kids are not permitted here, so we left them at the Atlantis Club Rush. I am sure they are having a great time right now because they have the whole Club all to themselves with computers and game gadgets for teens. They are so pampered. By the way, I can see Atlantis from this window and knowing that my kids are there now makes me feel that they are actually close to me, at heart. So blessed:)
